  • DrBergstrom
    Dr. Eric Bergstrom
    Doctor of Optometry

    Dr. Eric Bergstrom grew up in the Chicagoland area before attending Auburn University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. Dr. Bergstrom graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2000 after completing externship programs at the Veterans Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y., and at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, LA. He then returned to New Orleans when he was selected to complete a medical residency program at the Ochsner Clinic. Dr. Bergstrom’s emphasis during the program was in retinal and neuro-ophthalmic diseases, as well as primary care optometry. Upon completion of the program he continued to practice hospital-based optometry until he purchased the Queen Anne Eye Clinic in December 2001. Dr. Bergstrom is an active member of the Optometric Physicians of Washington and the American Optometric Association. He has lectured/published papers in the areas of uveitis, herpes symplex, AIDS, and papillophlebitis. Dr. Bergstrom lives in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle and has two daughters, Anya and Elina. He enjoys snowboarding, tennis, golf, travel, and cooking.

    Dr. Phil Lo
    Doctor of Optometry

    Dr. Philip Lo is an experienced and respected optometrist who is recognized by his patients and peers for his personal care. Dr. Lo grew up in Palo Alto, California and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from University of California Los Angeles. He graduated with a Doctorate of Optometry (with honors) from Illinois College of Optometry in 2002. Before relocating to Seattle, Dr. Lo practiced in a corneal and refractive surgery clinic in San Diego. He served as Clinical Director at TLC Laser Eye Center in Bellevue where he counseled, managed, and lectured in the topic of refractive surgery.

    Dr. Lo is an active member of the American Optometric Association, former Trustee of Optometric Physicians of Washington, and past president of King County Optometric Society. His clinical interest includes primary eye care, contact lenses, dry eye treatment, co-management of cataract and refractive surgery, and coordinating visual care for local PRI (Postural Restoration Institute) physical therapy practices. Born in Kowloon, Hong Kong, Dr. Lo is fluent in conversational Chinese (Cantonese). Dr. Lo now resides in Magnolia with his wife Jennifer and their children Dylan and Kaylin.

    Dr. Kristen Chippi
    Doctor of Optometry

    Dr. Kristen Chippi grew up in Harbor Springs, a small town in Northern Michigan. After attending the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for her undergraduate degree, she moved down to Houston, Texas where she attended the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Chippi completed externship rotations at Eye Care Center of Texas in Houston and Hellerstein & Brenner Vision Center in Denver, Colorado where she further explored her interests in ocular pathology and binocular conditions. A couple years later, Dr. Chippi and her fiancé moved to Seattle, Washington after her fiancé matched at the University of Washington for a residency program in anesthesiology. They currently live in Mount Baker with their cat, Puddles, and enjoy cooking, gardening, hiking and exploring the Pacific Northwest.

    Dr. Chelsie Russ
    Doctor of Optometry

    Dr. Chelsie Russ is a Seattle native who completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She earned her Doctorate degree from SUNY College of Optometry where she was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa (International Optometric Honor Society). She completed a residency at the Northport VA Hospital on Long Island, New York and gained specialized training in identifying and treating ocular complications secondary to aging, stroke, traumatic brain injury, systemic disease, and medications.

    Although her residency training had a strong focus on geriatric care, Dr. Russ cares for patients of all ages. She has been with the Northwest Vision Clinic since 2016 and receives joy from forming bonds with her patients and their families. She strives for each person to leave their eye exam feeling informed about their specific visual needs and fully cared for. She is especially enthusiastic about helping patients to feel and see great in contacts even when they have had barriers to contact lens wear in the past.

    Dr. Russ is a member of the American Optometric Association and the King County Optometric Society. She lives in Magnolia with her husband Danny, their daughter Molly and sons Jackson and Micah. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends and is passionate about health and fitness. When she is not in the office and the kids are asleep, she is in her kitchen attempting to turn unhealthy but delicious recipes into healthy ones that are toddler approved.

    Dr. Stephanie Michalko
    Doctor of Optometry

    Dr. Stephanie Michalko grew up near Toronto, Canada and received her Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree from The University of Western Ontario. Dr. Michalko then relocated to Boston, MA to complete her graduate degree from New England College of Optometry, where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honors Society. She relocated to the Pacific Northwest upon completion of externships at the Veteran Hospital in Vancouver, WA and Buffalo, NY in addition to several placements at community health centers in Boston, MA. Dr. Michalko practiced medical-based optometry at an Ophthalmology clinic on the Eastside for several years before joining Eye Clinics of Seattle. Dr Michalko strives to provide full scope eye care with interests in contact lenses,dry eye and glaucoma. She now resides in West Seattle and enjoys spending time exploring new hikes in the PNW, traveling and cooking.

    Dr. Bianca Luong
    Doctor of Optometry

    Dr. Luong was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. There she attended the University of Texas where she graduated magna cum laude in biology. She then moved to Boston where she attended and graduated with Honors from the New England College of Optometry. Dr. Luong has experience diagnosing and managing ocular diseases in underserved and diverse populations, fitting specialty contact lenses, and performing vision therapy, primarily for traumatic brain injury patients. Currently, Dr. Luong focuses on primary eye care, dry eye treatment, contact lenses, and pediatric examinations.Dr. Luong is fluent in English and Spanish. She is passionate about providing the best eye care to her patients by listening to their needs with attentiveness and compassion. She enjoys educating her patients about their ocular health and taking the time to address their concerns.When not seeing patients, Dr. Luong loves hiking, biking, and exploring other cultures through food and travel with her partner.

    Dr. Charanpreet Samra
    Doctor of Optometry

    Dr. Charanpreet Samra enjoys bringing her calm and thoughtful nature in providing comprehensive eye care. She was raised in the greater Seattle area by immigrant parents and is a fluent speaker of three languages. Dr. Samra received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and earned her doctorate in optometry, with honors, from Pacific University. She completed externship training with emphasis in binocular vision disorders, surgical co-management, and ocular disease. Her clinical interests include myopia control, speciality contact lenses, and ocular pathology. Dr. Samra received the “Outstanding Clinician Award” from Pacific University for her performance as an all-around optometric clinician. She is an active member of the Optometric Physicians of Washington and the American Optometric Association. Outside of work, Dr. Samra is an avid reader, travel enthusiast, and continues her journey as a foodie. She warmly welcomes any suggestions on what to explore or read next.

    Dr. Charissa Young
    Doctor of Optometry

    Dr. Charissa Young is a keratoconus and myopia control specialist with a passion to improve vision for patients through specialty contact lenses such as scleral lenses, ortho-keratology, and medically necessary contact lenses for cornea disorders and dry eye disease. Dr. Young grew up in Los Angeles and completed dual bachelor degrees at the University of Kansas. She continued her education at Pacific University in Oregon, graduating with her doctorate in optometry with Beta Sigma Kappa honors designation. Dedicated to providing patient-focused eye care, Dr. Young completed a one-year post-graduate fellowship at a specialty eye care clinic in the Seattle area and has presented research and lectured at national conferences. She has also completed a fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and the Scleral Lens Society (FSLS). Dr. Young specializes in myopia control, ortho-keratology (CRT), keratoconus, and medically necessary contact lenses and works closely with corneal specialists to optimize patient visual outcomes. Dr. Young is an active member of Optometric Physicians of Washington (OPW), American Optometric Association (AOA), Scleral Lens Society (SLS) and American Academy of Optometry (AAO). She also volunteers regularly for local nonprofits, including Seattle/King County Clinic and Uplift NW. She enjoys paddle boarding with her husband and daughter around the Puget Sound.

    Katie, an Arizona native, has been with our practice since 2013 and is passionate about ensuring that all of our patients have the best possible experience at our clinic. Beside managing the administrative and clinical operations of the office, she is eager to assist you in finding the pair of glasses that were made for you! Katie is an avid reader (and admittedly less avid writer) who lives in Burien with her husband, Adam, their daughter, Layla, and their troublesome English Bulldogs named Wilma and Ethel.

    Brittney has been with Eye Clinics of Seattle since 2022 and has been passionate about eye care for 10+ years! She is a graduate of Seattle Central’s advanced opticianry program, ABO and NCLE certified, and is former student president of the OAW legislative committee. During her free time Brittney enjoys thrifting, gaming, and exploring Washington's hiking trails.

DeeDee lives in Ballard, enjoys live music, and discovering new restaurants.

    Office Manager / Billing Specialist

    Matthew, an Oklahoma native, has been at Northwest Vision Clinic for over fifteen years. Beside many administrative and clinical duties, Matthew also ensures that your insurance claims have been processed correctly. Matthew is a longtime musician and cinephile who spends his time in Mukilteo writing songs and watching movies with his wife and beloved Aussie Doodle. No one rocks a cardigan like Matthew.

    Paul has been expanding his knowledge of the optical industry since 2009, spending 3 years in manufacturing before transitioning into styling and dispensing. Paul is passionate about finding the perfect frame, and will take the time to get to know you to ensure that your frame choice matches both your own unique style and your optical needs. He is also your go-to guy for any and all adjustments and repairs, and is happy to work through even the most complex optical issues. Paul takes great pride in hand-selecting all of the frames in our office, and is dedicated to providing Queen Anne with a wide variety of styles to choose from! Paul lives in Shoreline with his wife Tarin and children, Orin, Karis, and Colby.

    Shana’s extensive retail experience along with her sparkling personality encourage our patients to spend time choosing the perfect frame for their prescription needs and personal style. Shana lives in Capitol Hill and has a love affair with art and photo booths.

    Alina is here to assist with your eye exams by performing a variety of diagnostic tests and scans. Working in opticianry since 2010, she is always willing to lend a hand when it comes to choosing the right frame for your style and vision needs! Alina lives in Auburn, Washington with her husband Yuriy and their sons, Jacob and Lucas.

    Billing Supervision, Insurance Verification Specialist

    Lauren moved to Seattle from California after falling in love with the Pacific Northwest at the University of Oregon. She has a passion for helping others and loves music. She enjoys going outdoors and spending time with her two cats, Gus and Daphne. Lauren lives in Capitol Hill with her husband Isaac and hopes to one day work in social work or as an advocate.

    Lisa is our front desk maestro and a lifelong Ballard-ite. Lisa makes sure that scheduling and the check-in/check-out process runs smoothly. She owns a variety of detective hats that she must occasionally don in order to investigate hard-to-navigate insurance benefits. If you don't see her behind the front desk, you might catch her in front of our store admiring local canines.

    Brandon is Queen Anne Eye Clinic's resident Lens Guru. With over 10 years of experience in the optical industry, Brandon is able to perform a wide array of lens wizardry in our in-house finishing lab. He grew up in Anaheim, and that's all he has to say about that. In his spare time he enjoys not being in California.

    Alaina is the latest addition to our reception team! Beside front desk support, Alaina is the technician who will help you through the pre-testing process before you see the doctor. Alaina also makes sure that your contact lenses are ordered and arrive quickly.

    Ivy joined Queen Anne Eye Clinic in the summer of 2019. With a degree in musical theatre from American University, she spends her free time acting and singing in productions around Seattle. She also enjoys good food, English literature, and wool socks. She lives in Queen Anne with a sweet black cat named Bonnie.

    Clara joined the clinic in March of 2022. She grew up in Bellevue, Washington and is pursuing a degree to become an X-ray technician. She loves horror movies and attending music festivals all around the country. She also enjoys weekend markets, thrifting funky finds, and shopping locally! When she isn’t studying, she is out with friends and her partner, Nemith.

    Joey joined the team in October 2023 after getting his Degree in English from the University of Washington in the spring. You'll find him working the front desk at our Roosevelt office with a smile and a freshly crafted eyeware-pun. He lives in Northgate and enjoys playing chess, going to Mariners games, and walking dogs in his free time.
